Governor Herbert announced Tuesday that school dismissal will extend through the rest of the school year. The decision to continue with school dismissal was done throughout the state so schools can retain funding. The last day of school for Tooele County School District is May 21, 2020. There will be no additional work assigned after May 21. However, the state has defined the “end of the school year” as June 30, 2020, and not the last day of school. That means that group activities and locations will remain canceled/closed through June 30, 2020. More information will be forthcoming on restriction changes for July 1, 2020, and beyond.
